Liver Detox: Tips & Tools for Success
Meal plan.
This is one of the most powerful tools to set you up for success. Set aside 20 minutes a week to look at your schedule and make a meal plan. Some people like to keep it general while others like a more detailed plan. Experiment and do what works for you.

Plan to encounter dragons🐉
If you lived near giant, fire-breathing dragons, you’d be crazy to not have some kind of plan for when you run into them. Integrating a health protocol into your busy life is no different. Look at your schedule weekly and figure out where these dragons are. Do you have a late meeting this week where you know you’ll be home late, feeling tired and probably hangry? Is there a birthday party this weekend? Is it your responsibility to cook meals for a loved one while also making your own Liver Detox approved meals? You can definitely slay all the dragons and ultimately get the treasure if you have a plan.
Connect with others.
Connect and share ideas with other people who are doing a Liver Detox just like you by joining the Dr. Cabral Detox Facebook support group HERE.
Let the people closest to you know that you’re doing a detox so they’ll understand how they can support you. If you’re like me and you’re the “liver” of your household, let everyone know what things you won’t be available to do while on the detox. And if you’ll need help, ask for it!
Get out in nature.
Sunshine and fresh air can really make a big difference in how we feel mentally and our tolerance for discomfort and change. I find this to be a good strategy for me after I’ve mindlessly walked to the fringe for the third time looking for snacks. So if you hit a rough spot, get outside!
Fasting Days= Rest Days
You can expect some change in your energy level during the fasting days of the Liver Detox, so I strongly recommend resting as much as you can on these days. Now, I can’t tell you what that should look like for you since everyone’s different. But it’s definitely not the day to go on a reorganizing spree or retile the bathroom. Rest. Relax.
